Overview
A trekking odyssey in St. Catherine National Park in the mystical peninsula of Sinai which still beholds a lot of uncovered secrets within its mountains and wadis.
During the winter season the Sinai Peninsula is usually under heavy rain and on some of Sinai highest peaks you can find snow everywhere. Since after the rain comes the sun and the spring season, the snow starts to melt creating seasonal waterfalls, mountain pools and lush valleys which all come together creating a trekking experience like no other!
This journey will take us through the main highlights of the high mountains region through the famous Wadi Jebal to natural mountain pools and some of the most breathtaking scenery in the Sinai Peninsula.

First we drive from Cairo to St. Catherine village in Sinai. Our adventure starts by a quick visit to St. Catherine Monastery then venture into the Sinai wilderness to the legendary Wadi Jebal in St. Catherine National park. We make our way through Wadi ElZawatin to Jabal Abbas (2,383m), our first summit on the trek with its stunning panoramic views over St Catherine village from the palace of Abbas Basha on the top of the mountain. Afterwards we continue to Farsh Tinya for overnight.

Today is where the trek takes an adventurous turn with scrambling and sliding our way to ElGalt ElAzraq, Sinai’s largest mountain pool. Enjoy a refreshing swim in its cold waters and relax by the pool then continue trekking to Farsh ElRommana for overnight.

Today is the most challenging but the most rewarding day of our adventure. We will make our way to Wadi Zaatar then to Ain Njeela where we are going to start our trek to Bab El-Donya (2,090m) for one of the most breathtaking views over the Sinai Peninsula and the Gulf of Suez. Afterwards we continue trekking to Wadi Bowaleia for overnight.

Today we trek back to St. Catherine village with a stop at the pools of Kharazet ElShaq on the way. Have lunch in town upon arrival then drive back to Cairo.
