Our journey to Siwa begins with a road trip along the Mediterranean coast then continues south into the remote Western Desert. Siwa used to be inaccessible until very recently which played a major role in keeping its culture well preserved. After check-in formalities we will have some rest and lunch then drive into town to visit Old Shali, the ancient capital of the oasis that dates back to 13th century then continue to a traditional Siwi house to know more about the unique culture of Siwa then conclude our tour at the palm-fringed Fatnas Island to enjoy the legendary sunset over Lake Siwa then drive back to the hotel for dinner and overnight.

Today we explore Siwa’s main sites on bikes. We will start our tour by cycling to the Temple of Amun, AKA as the Temple of the Oracle since Alexander the Great visited the temple to consult its oracle, then continue to Cleopatra’s Spring for a refreshing bath. Afterwards we cycle back in town for lunch then leave the bikes behind and drive to visit the mountain of the dead, where Siwans buried their loved ones for over 2000 years, a quick hike to the top of the mountain will be rewarded with an amazing panoramic view over the oasis then conclude our tour by driving to a beautiful island for another amazing sunset over Lake Siwa. After sunset we will drive back to the hotel for dinner and overnight.

Today we venture into the Sahara as we explore the Great Sand Sea with its endless sand dunes and beautiful springs. First we get in our 4WD cars and drive to Abu Shorof village and visit its Spring, the biggest and cleanest in the oasis then drive to the Salt mines and the beautiful turquoise Salt Lakes, afterwards we drive into the Sahara and across the Great Sand Sea to an amazing freshwater lake that will start to appear like a desert mirage of blue waters in the middle of the desert. We will stop by the cold spring for swimming and lunch then continue our journey over the endless sand dunes to the hot spring of Bir Wahid (37°C) for one last swim in the midst of the dunes then drive to the highest point around the oasis for some Sandboarding action and enjoy the magical sunset in sandy horizon then drive to our desert camp for a delicious Bedouin Dinner and overnight camping under the starlit sky.
