Itinerary & Trip Details

Day 1: Arrival

Arrival in Rio de Janeiro airport. Pickup and transfer to the hotel. Rest after our long flight and get ready for our upcoming adventure.

Day 2: Ilha Grande

Ilha Grande

After Breakfast, we will drive to Angra Dos Reis, the gateway to the spectacular Ilha Grande, a beautiful island off the coast of Rio de Janeiro State known for its scenic beauty, unspoilt tropical beaches, lush vegetation and rugged landscape. A Ferry boat will take us to the port of the picturesque town of Vila Do Abraao on the island then transfer to our hotel.

Day 3: Ilha Grande

Ilha Grande

Today we will explore this tropical paradise with towering mountains, lush rainforests, historical ruins and stunning unspoilt beaches. We will hop from one island to another snorkeling, swimming, sun bathing and finish with a hiking trail through the Atlantic forest to the beach of Lopes Mendes, one of the most beautiful beaches in Brazil and the World. Late in the evening the active adventurers can opt to a challenging but rewarding trek to the mountainous summit of Bico do Papagaio (the Parrot’s Beak) for a beautiful sunrise over the island and the Atlantic Ocean

Day 4: Ilha Grande/Paraty

Ilha Grande/Paraty

After Breakfast, we will take the ferry back to Angra then drive to Paraty. Located on the Costa Verde (Green Coast), a lush, green corridor that runs along the coastline of the state of Rio de Janeiro. Paraty is also one of the most important examples of Portuguese colonial architecture in the world. A walk in this town will take us through cobbled streets that leads to a collection of majestic whitewashed buildings along the Rua do Comercio and several colonial churches.

Day 5: Paraty

Paraty

Breakfast then drive to the village of Trindade where we will go for a scenic jungle trek that will lead us to the amazing secluded beach of Praia do Sono where we can swim and relax then drive back to Paraty, pickup our bags then drive to Sao Paulo

Day 6: Foz do Iguacu

Foz do Iguacu

Morning flight to Foz do Iguacu, pick-up and transfer to the hotel for check-in then we drive to Iguacu national park to start our tour of one of the world’s most beautiful wonders, the Iguassu Falls. We will explore the Brazilian side of the falls on foot where we will view the falls from both above and below to truly get a sense of the power and majesty of this natural wonder. Afterwards we will continue for up-close views of the Devil’s Throat, the largest waterfall in the national park.

Day 7: Foz do Iguacu

Early in the morning we will leave our hotel and back in the national park for a boat ride at the bottom of the falls that will take us for an incredible experience into very close contact with the falls. In the afternoon we will go for an adventurous twist with rappelling 55m at the edge of Iguazu River for an unforgettable view of the falls

Day 8: Rio

Rio

As one of the most beautiful cities in the world, Rio lives up to its name with almost 200km of beautiful beaches and a breathtaking mountain backdrop. First we take our morning flight to Rio then Spend the day exploring its main landmarks as we make our way through Tijuca National Park’s rainforest to Cristo Redentor statue (Christ the Redeemer), a towering 38m statue on the Peak of Corcovado Mountain overlooking magical Rio which is selected as one of the new 7 wonders of the world. We will also wander around the cobblestone streets of the hill-top neighborhood of Santa Teresa and visit the world-famous Escadaria Selaron. A visit to Rio is never complete without samba! So in the evening we can opt for a Samba class or a night samba tour.

Day 9: Rio

Rio

In the morning we can choose between a short scenic hike to Morro da Urca where we can take a cable care to the iconic Sugarloaf Mountain or go for the challenging hike of Pedra da Gavea for some of the most breathtaking views over the city. In the afternoon we can spend the day relaxing by one of the beautiful beaches of Copacabana, Ipanema or Leblon.

Day 10: Departure
